Explore and develop ideas for a radical new digital bank, powered by cutting-edge technology and informed by new legislation that will allow a more open form of banking.

Solution

The initial exploratory work featured feeds that integrate useful and relevant external data with financial information, ringfenced pots for saving and managing money, simpler payment journeys that hide the underlying technology, splitting bills before and after transactions, and the use of AI to help control and predict spending.

The development work focused on one scenario: that of someone creating a ‘money’ group with which to share, split and monitor payments, create a kitty, attach conditions to spending, and settle up after the event.
